What is the difference between LED lights and energy-saving bulbs?

Conventional fluorescent lamps feature a filament at each end. The tube is filled with a trace amount of argon and a thin layer of mercury vapor. The inner surface of the tube is coated with phosphor. When the gas between the two filaments conducts electricity, it emits ultraviolet light, causing the phosphor to produce a soft visible light. LED Fluorescent Lamp Utilizing cutting-edge LED light source technology with a digital design, LED fluorescent lamps achieve energy savings exceeding 70%. A 12W LED fluorescent lamp delivers light intensity equivalent to a 40W fluorescent tube (which, including ballast and starter, consumes 42W to 44W of actual power). LED fluorescent tubes last over 10 times longer than conventional tubes, requiring virtually no maintenance and eliminating frequent replacements of tubes, ballasts, or starters. As an eco-friendly semiconductor light source, they emit soft, pure-spectrum light that protects users' vision and promotes health.
