Within Wuxi Sunac Cultural Tourism City lies a signature attraction called “Soaring Jiangsu.” . Visitors sit in large mechanical flight seats to watch ultra-high-definition films, accompanied by on-site wind effects, scents, and audio-visual special effects that simulate the authentic sensation of soaring through the air. Majestic natural landscapes, poetic water towns with Jiangnan charm, and modern skyscrapers... The scene alone of three thousand lanterns rising before the Great Temple of Gratitude in the wind leaves many visitors spellbound. How is such a breathtaking visual impact achieved? A giant LED dome screen, standing 15.82 meters tall with a diameter of 20 meters, plays a pivotal role.
“The dome screen in Wuxi Sunac Cultural Tourism City's flight cinema spans over 500 square meters, marking the world's first application of a large-scale 8K LED dome screen in a cinema setting,” According to Ji Lili, Planning Director of Nanjing Luopu Co., Ltd., “This super-sized LED dome screen involved multiple technological innovations in design, manufacturing, installation, and debugging. To achieve playback effects on the large LED dome screen that match those on a standard flat screen, Luopu developed specialized image processing methods for large LED dome displays. The videos undergo spherical processing to better align with human visual perception.”
